What’s at Stake?
- $11.8 million in K-12 school funding for Deschutes County’s 24,578 students.
- Bend-LaPine Administrative SD 1: $7.7 million ($432.89 per student)
- Redmond SD 2J: $3.4 million ($432.31 per student)
- Sisters SD 6: $728,830 ($437.06 per student)
- Central Oregon Community College: If the measures fail, COCC could be forced to raise tuition 2%, reduce enrollment by 3%, reduce part-time and adjunct faculty positions, and delay Madras and Prineville programs as a result of a 5% reduction in Community College State Funding.
- Oregon State University – Cascades could lose $478,900, resulting in higher tuition, staff and faculty layoffs, and program reductions.
- Deschutes County Courts, which could close one day a week
- A tax break for 12,163 unemployed people, who will receive a tax refund on the first $2,400 they received in unemployment benefits
